Who is it for?
This course is specifically aimed at assisting older persons experiencing a mental health crisis.
What to Expect:
Facilitated by accredited mental health first aid instructors, this comprehensive two-day course is designed to up-skill participants as first responders until appropriate professional help is available. The training aims to reduce the stigma associated with mental health, improve mental health literacy, and spark quality conversations that enhance help-seeking behavior and resilience.
Course Highlights:
📗Identification of signs and symptoms of mental health issues.
📘Simple tools to assist someone experiencing a mental health problem.
📙Strategies for trained responders to look after themselves throughout the support process.
Perks for Participants:
Participants will receive a certificate valid for three years, a mental health first aid manual, and invaluable knowledge to support our community.
