Join Our Team at Allora Medical
At Allora Medical, you’ll have the support to do your best work — building genuine connections with patients and working alongside a collaborative team.
We care for people from Allora and neighbouring towns — from newborns to grandparents, farmers to shopkeepers — we’re here for the whole community. We don’t believe in six-minute medicine; we believe in care that’s built on time and trust. With a focus on quality over quantity, you can deliver the kind of care you’re proud of and still enjoy life outside the clinic.
Life in Allora
Known as the Best Little Town on the Downs, Allora combines country charm with easy access to larger centres. Just 20 minutes from Warwick, 40 minutes from Toowoomba, and two hours from Brisbane, it’s perfectly placed for both rural living and city convenience.
The town is friendly, close-knit, and proud of its heritage. You’ll find everything you need in the main street — from a pharmacy and supermarket to cafés and community events — plus plenty of ways to enjoy the outdoors, from hiking and camping to fishing and exploring.
While Allora offers a peaceful pace of life, you’re well connected to healthcare support in nearby centres.
Healthcare is close at hand when you live in Allora
Warwick (15 minutes away)
Warwick offers a strong mix of public and private health services. Warwick Base Hospital is supported by visiting medical specialists in areas such as obstetrics, general surgery, urology, cardiology, vascular surgery, and gynaecology. Diagnostic services are readily available through Qld Xray, Warwick Diagnostics, and local pathology providers (Sullivan Nicolaides and QML). There’s also a wide range of allied health professionals in town — including optometrists, physiotherapists, podiatrists, occupational therapists, exercise physiologists, dentists, diabetes educators, psychologists, acupuncturists, speech and massage therapists, and Bowen therapists. Warwick is also home to Headspace, Carbal Aboriginal Medical Centre, and Bush Kids, providing further community and family-focused support.
Toowoomba (40 minutes away)
For more advanced care, Toowoomba is only 40 minutes away and hosts several major hospitals: Toowoomba Base Hospital, St Vincent’s Private Hospital, and St Andrew’s Private Hospital. Emergency aeromedical services are also based here through the LifeFlight Helicopter Emergency Aeromedical Service, ensuring rapid access to critical care when needed.
